One new COVID-19 case; one patient hospitalized

Female aged 20-39 years tested positive; previous case hospitalized for complications

A woman aged 20-39 years old is the most recent person in Whitman County to test positive for COVID-19, bringing the county’s case total to 36.

The patient is stable and isolating at home, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center.

A previous case has been hospitalized for complications associated with COVID-19, according to the press release. This is the first person in Whitman County to be hospitalized for the disease. 

Of the 36 cases, 23 have recovered and 12 are self-isolating at home, according to the press release. 

At least 1,789 people have tested negative for the virus, according to the Whitman County Health Department website
