Evergreen, show off the Cougar research

Editor:

WSU is, first and foremost, a research university, but you wouldn’t know that from reading The Daily Evergreen.  There are many things in college life that The Daily Evergreen contributors feel compelled to cover, but the university’s main reason for existence doesn’t seem to be among them.

I rarely see anything about the hundreds, perhaps thousands, of research projects that go on at our university, projects that look 10-20 years into the future, like our just-off-campus nuclear reactor that aids radiochemistry research and our positron capture lab.  I’d like to see more of this in the printed paper.

Sports can make a Coug, but so too does world class research.
