One fall, four assaults reported over weekend

From staff reports

The Pullman Police Department (PPD) responded to more than 100 calls between Thursday and Sunday, including several assaults, a forensic evidence kit collection and a fall.

Four of the reports were reports of assault. Two occurred on Friday, one on Saturday, and one on Sunday. One of the assault report’s investigation statuses was described as ongoing.

Officers collected a rape kit Saturday at Health & Wellness from an alleged rape victim. The alleged victim expressed wishes to not pursue an investigation at this time. It has not been determined the victim is a student at Washington State University.

A 19-year-old female WSU student fell from a third-floor balcony at an apartment in Campus Commons Thursday night. She was transported to Pullman Regional Hospital where it was discovered she had suffered from internal injuries and fractures. She was transferred to Spokane for treatment, Patrol Sergeant Dan Dornes said.

Sergeant Dornes and other officers were nearby responding to another call and responded immediately.
