ASWSU meeting: Sept. 9

News in brief

The ASWSU Senate appointed two freshman delegates to represent the Class of 2019, during its weekly meeting Wednesday.

Amanda Jordan and Harald Hyllseth were chosen from a pool of six candidates.

Jordan, a freshman communication major from Snohomish, served as class treasurer and was involved with student government all four years of high school.

Hyllseth, a freshman communication major from Seattle, served as Associated Student Body president during his senior year.

“WSU is a very inclusive and welcoming environment, and I can’t wait to begin working toward making it even better,” Hyllseth said.

Freshman delegates are not able to vote during Senate meetings, but are instead tasked with working with the senators and other ASWSU committees to extend the voice of the freshman class.
