The Pullman Police Department engaged in a foot pursuit Thursday morning that ended in an arrest.

Flathead County in Montana contacted Pullman PD for assistance in arresting Taylor Silva, who was in Pullman. Flathead County had a warrant to arrest Silva for assault of a child, said Pullman PD Cmdr. Jake Opgenorth.

Pullman patrol officers located Silva at Upper Drive, he said. Silva jumped out of a house’s back window and fled. The foot pursuit ended at the Providence Court apartment complex, where Silva surrendered.

Opgenorth said Pullman PD arrested Silva around 11:45 a.m. Silva will be transported to the Whitman County Jail and will then be extradited to Montana.
