This year’s annual #CougsGive day will be held on April 15. This annual celebration is brought together to celebrate donor impact at WSU.
#CougsGive first started in 2015 as a way to celebrate WSU’s birthday, but has grown into a 24-hour online fundraising event. The purpose of the event is to bring together the Cougar community in support of scholarships, research, leadership development, student activities and other programs. The event encourages students, staff and alumni alike to donate to the university as well as share their WSU stories.
The event encourages participants to share their stories, how we come together as a community and make a better future for one another.
According to the #CougsGive website, Cougs have donated 12,434 gifts, equivalent to $5.6 million, to this annual event.
Available donation areas can be found online at CougsGive.wsu. Participants are also encouraged to make a social media post describing what it means to them to be a WSU cougar.
Additionally, event coordinators are looking for volunteers to be Cougar ambassadors. Ambassadors spread news about the event via social media as well as with their own custom links they can share with their communities.
Everybody in the Cougar community is encouraged to participate and share their pride for WSU.
