Whitman County confirms one death, 24 new COVID-19 cases

Woman over 80 died; 10 deaths total

One female over 80 years old has died, which marks the tenth death from COVID-19.

Twenty-four individuals tested positive for COVID-19, which brings Whitman County’s total number of cases to 1,715, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center.

Of the new cases, four females and one male are aged 0-19 years. Two females and six males are aged 20-39 years. Three females and four males are aged 40-59 years. One male is aged 60-79 years. Three females are over 80 years old.

Four people are in the hospital. All other patients are stable and self-isolating.

Residents are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing.
