Whitman County had 98 new COVID-19 cases this week

County has running total of 2,618 COVID-19 cases

From Dec. 12-18, 98 individuals tested positive for COVID-19, which brings Whitman County’s total to 2,618 cases.

Of the new cases, five females and seven males are aged 0-19 years. Nineteen females and 28 males are aged 20-39 years. Eleven females and five males are aged 40-59 years. Nine females and 10 males are aged 60-79 years. Two females and two males are over the age of 80, according to press releases from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center.

As of Friday, seven people are hospitalized. All other patients are stable and self-isolating. There have been 22 COVID-19-related deaths in the county, according to Friday’s press release.

Residents are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing.
