Whitman County Sheriff announces reelection campaign

Whitman County Sheriff Brett Myers announced on Tuesday he will run for a sixth term.

Myers has served as county sheriff since January 2003, according to a press release.

“It has been my privilege to serve as the Sheriff of this great county for the past 20 years. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities of the next four years,” Myers stated in the press release. 

Myers’ focus for the sheriff’s department has been on local involvement, active patrolling and empowered employees, according to the press release.

The primary election is Aug. 2, according to the Washington State Secretary of State office.
