WSU continues outdoor track season in Spokane

Four Cougs hold top-15 national times and marks in outdoor season

WSU track and field heads to Spokane today for the Buc Scoring Invitational at Puryear Field and Boppell Track.

The Cougs are sending 49 athletes to the invite, including standout freshman hurdler Micaela De Mello. The former Pac-12 Track Athlete of the Week has the fastest 100-meter hurdles time in the NCAA, running 13.08. De Mello’s time is the fourth-fastest time overall this year and set the WSU program record. 

The meet is set to begin at 11:45 a.m. today and will end late Friday night. Teams from 13 NCAA programs will be at the meet including Whitworth, Eastern Washington, Central Washington, Corban, Idaho and other Pacific Northwest schools.
