Individual unresponsive after crash north of Pullman

A Pullman Disposal Service truck rolled over into a ditch on the junction of U.S. Route 195 and State Route 270 Thursday afternoon, leaving the single occupant was unresponsive after the crash.

Life Flight Network was sent to the scene to transport the individual, according to a Washington State Patrol press release. Further updates will be available as the scene progresses. 

Within the last five years, 21 crashes involving heavy trucks occured on state routes in Pullman, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation crash data portal. Only one of these accidents caused a serious injury.

Along the 80-mile U.S. Route 195 corridor, 17 fatalities, six of which involving heavy trucks, occurred from car crashes in a five-year period, according to a WSDOT study. The majority of these crashes were during daylight hours.
