Three non-fatal car accidents occurred back to back in Colfax and Colton this week.

Phoebe Adams, 32, of Pullman, struck the rear bumper of a semi-truck Tuesday afternoon before driving off the road into a chain link fence in Colton, according to a Whitman County Sherriff’s Office press release.

Several witnesses said she was driving erratically before the crash and using the road shoulder to pass cars, and the Sherriff’s Office is investigating the incident for impaired driving, according to the press release. Adams was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Hospital for minor injuries.

On Tuesday morning, an unidentified driver lost control of his vehicle on Clear Creek Road, which may have been caused by speed and inattentiveness, according to a Whitman County Sheriff’s Office press release. He tried to correct his actions, but he crossed over to the other lane and drove off the road, causing the car to roll several times.

Emergency crews from the Palouse and Pullman fire departments responded to the scene, and the driver was transported to Pullman Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to the press release.

The day prior, an unidentified driver was traveling at a high speed on Pullman Albion Road without wearing her seatbelt, according to a Whitman County Sheriff’s Office press release

When she tried to correct her actions, she crossed into the other side of the road before driving off the road, causing the car to roll over multiple times, according to the press release.

Emergency crews from both the Albion and Pullman fire departments arrived at the scene to attend to the injured driver, and she was flown to Spokane for serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to the press release. The investigation of the accident is ongoing
