Welcome back Cougs, and happy midterms!

I hope everybody’s assignments, exams, projects and presentations are going well this week. If you need a de-stressor this week (I know I will), I have found a few things to do around town to help get some weight off your shoulders.

Live Music

  • What: Live music featuring the Jon and Rand Band
  • When: 7 p.m. March 1
  • Where: Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Moscow
  • Cost: $10

Starkbierfest

  • What: Pour Company Starkbierfest inspired by German event celebrating strong German beers
  • When: 1–5 p.m. March 2
  • Where: Sixth Street in Moscow
  • Cost: $25

Brewfest

  • What: Third annual brewfest featuring breweries from Pullman, Moscow, Lewiston and more
  • When: 2–5 p.m. March 2
  • Where: Gladish Community and Cultural Center Gym
  • Cost: $25; includes five drink tickets and a tasting glass

Winter Market

  • What: Indoor farmer’s market
  • When: 10 a.m.–2 p.m. March 16
  • Where: Brelsford Visitor Center

Jeffrey Gibson: They Teach Love

  • What: Exhibition of work by internationally recognized artist Jeffrey Gibson
  • When: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tuesdays–Saturdays until March 9
  • Where: Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU

Here in a Homemade Forest: Common Reading Connections

  • What: Exhibition of work by Indigenous and non-Indigenous American artists inspired by the WSU common reading book “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer
  • When: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tuesdays–Saturdays until March 9
  • Where: Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art 

Knit and Crochet Class

  • What: Beginners knitting and crochet classes
  • When: 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month until April 20
  • Where: Yard Underground in Moscow
  • Cost: $79 for four knitting classes; $69 for four crochet classes; materials included

Movement in the Park

  • What: Accessible movement classes for all ages
  • When: 11 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday through May 17
  • Where: 1912 Center in Moscow
