Former WSU lineman Riley Sorenson is now in remission after three cycles of chemotherapy for testicular cancer, his girlfriend tweeted today.

“Thank you all for the love and support,” Elisabeth Haffner wrote.

Sorenson was originally diagnosed with cancer in 2016, but he beat it in time for his last college football season. He then developed the disease again in May, and had to undergo chemotherapy.

He and Haffner spent the summer in Pullman, traveling to Lewiston for treatment. He completed his last chemo cycle in August.
