Fox News was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in journalism for their recent article on WSU’s Queer Pole Fit classes.
The article was written by Taylor Penley on Jan. 25. It covers the same Queer Pole Fitness class covered in this article by the Daily Evergreen published 17 days earlier.
“This article was of the utmost journalistic integrity and the highest standard of writing,” said Pulitzer Prize Administrator Marjorie Miller. “It would be an enormous lapse in judgement not to recognize the historic impact this story has had and will continue to have on our culture.”
Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said she expected this article to be recognized for its greatness. While Fox is already known for its unbiased and truthful reporting of the news, this article took things to a new level.
“I was reading the article on the class published by the Daily Evergreen and I knew this story had to be brought to a wider audience,” Scott said. “So, I ordered Taylor, or as she’s known around the office, Fox White Blonde Clone 48IJ0, to write an article on this class, but make sure to more or less just recycle what this college newspaper with one one hundredth of our budget already reported and make no effort to contact anyone involved with the class or get any sources at all.”
When asked if she was concerned at all about the amount of hate Fox is sending the people involved with the class by giving their full names in the story, Scott said she was not.
“I mean, come on, I’m the CEO of Fox News. I make it my goal to run over at least three gay people on my way to work every day,” she said. “You think I care how the people in this story are affected by it?”
Penley said she was thrilled to be recognized for her efforts and it only reaffirms that the type of reporting she is doing is right. She will continue to fight to report on hard-hitting issues that matter to most Americans, such as trans people in sports and Costco DEI programs.
“I know most everyday working class Americans who can barely afford to put food on the table go to bed thinking, man, I really hope there isn’t a class at some university I’ve never been to meant to help LGBTQ people be more comfortable expressing themselves,’” Penley said. “Well, for those people out there, I, or some other blonde chick at Fox News since we’re pretty interchangeable, will be there to report on it.”
The Pulitzer Prize Board also gave special recognition to the comments on the article, giving them credit for creating an engaging discussion around the article in a respectful way.
“If these so-called States cannot see the poison that they are introducing to children at a young age all the way through adulthood, then it’s time that we break them away from these United States.” said vetsop1 in the comment section. “They are not United in any way with the people that have proper morals and principles and are true Patriots of this country.”
Well, I think everyone who read the article understands why it was given this great honor. In fact, if I was grading it, I would give it a perfect score of 100, which is ironically the total when you count up everyone who watches Fox News’ IQ points.
