Pullman Police responded to a call Sunday morning that led to a nearly three-hour standoff.
A Sunnyside Hill resident, 28-year-old Jayson Kramlich, allegedly attacked family members with a knife and held them hostage, according to a press release from Pullman Police.
The family was able to escape, but Kramlich barricaded himself in his house, threatening officers and claiming he had a shotgun.
Whitman County SWAT was then called in to assist. SWAT opened the door of the house and deployed a drone. Kramlich ran out the door and assaulted an officer. He was quickly taken down and into custody, receiving medical care for minor injuries.
Kramlich was charged with assault in the fourth degree, felony harassment, second-degree assault, intimidating a public servant and resisting arrest.
