University of Washington is offering ASWSU Global 80 group tickets for the Apple Cup, ASWSU Global Adviser CeCe Smith said. The tickets were denied by a sales representative earlier this month.

“They are adjusting the cost we spent, and we are now getting to spend what we originally budgeted to get 80 group tickets, sitting together,” Smith said in a text message.

Carter Henderson, UW associate athletic director of marketing and communications, said the ticket office pulled “from other held areas and internal inventory needs to fulfill this request.”

This comes after Henderson told the Evergreen last week that the individual working with the account that denied ASWSU Global “did not accurately convey departmental policies.”

“UW Athletics has a long history of marketing to and welcoming groups, regardless of their school affiliation,” Henderson told the Evergreen. “We look forward to working with any and all interested groups looking forward.”
