Design and Printing Services will be closed at the end of October because of budget cuts.
Five staff will stay on and work for CougPrints Plus, which is funded by the student technology fee, while the other 13 will be laid off, according to WSU spokesperson Pam Scott.
WSU is expected to release a list of outside vendors to help with printing in October.
DPS has been operating since the 1940s.
This cut is part of WSU’s effort to mitigate the effects of federal and state funding. WSU warned in June that its budget reductions would lead to layoffs.

Some staff? I heard all staff were laid off. CougPrints got hit hard too and nobody is running anything and that might include the student printers. Cougprints runs those I think
