On Wednesday ASWSU elected Grace Kouassi for the role of administrative assistant.
Kouassi is a transfer student who has previously been involved in student government, particularly in the role of secretary. Kouassi also has experience in various clubs during her time at a community college in Oklahoma.
“It’s a continuity of my work,” Kouassi said. “To advocate for all students, especially international students.”
Kouassi wants to put a focus on issues in dorms that she may be able to advocate for. She won against Domenico Mazzone, the other candidate for admin assistant.
Kouassi will be paid $2,000 per semester.
The STEM-centered focus tables discussed in a previous meeting will no longer be held in the Troy building due to a lack of space. While the location is not final, those involved are considering the Spark to be the new location.
