A two-vehicle accident happened at 7 p.m. on Friday in front of the Alpine Animal Hospital, resulting in the closure of the road.
Holly Campbell, 57, pulled out from the Alpine Animal Hospital onto State Route 270 without lights and was struck by Thomas Creamer, 19, who was traveling eastbound, troopers said.
Campbell was life lifted to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center while Creamer was taken to Grittman Hospital in Moscow, Idaho.
The road was blocked for several hours, later reopening at 9 p.m., troopers said.
Campbell will be charged with negligent driving in the 2nd degree.
