The Pullman Greyhounds finished 16-7 last season and 10-2 in conference play ranking, No. 4 in the district. To end the 2024 season, the Greyhounds lost in a high-scoring affair to the Prosser Mustangs 72-57.
With their best player Daniel Kwon graduating this past June, head coach Craig Brantner will have to find his new best player. If all players from the 2024-25 season return, Brantner will have a height advantage against other teams. Gavin Dealy played center for the Greyhounds last season, standing at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, he will be difficult to guard for all GSL teams.
Lewis & Clark head coach Jase Wambold is coming off an abysmal 5-19 season (2-7 in district play), ranking No. 19. Last season the Tigers lost to the Greyhounds 59-57 in their season opener.
The Tigers averaged 53 points per game while allowing 64. In their five wins, the Tigers won the majority by less than 13 points. The Tigers will be desperate for a win, hoping to turn their program around from their 2024 record.
The Greyhounds put up 62 points per game and allowed 52 points last year. Almost a complete opposite from the Tigers, the Greyhounds dominated in their wins with multiple 20- to 30-point wins.
The Pullman Greyhounds take on Lewis & Clark at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Lewis & Clark High School.
