The Whitman County Humane Society shelter’s main office was packed with people waiting to offer smooches and cuddles to shelter animals this Valentine’s Day.
The shelter hosted its annual Valentine’s Day Kissing Booth event from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. last Saturday.
For $10, patrons could snuggle and kiss a variety of dogs and cats while also offering them a variety of treats. While playing and smooching with their chosen animals, attendants got their pictures taken and could give treats to the animals.
People looking to adopt on the day of love had the opportunity to adopt their “match.” A digital matchmaking quiz was provided that adopters could take to match them with their perfect pet while also getting 14% off adoption fees if they adopted their match.
All proceeds go directly to the shelter helping them improve their facility and care of all animals.
