The Pullman Police Department, along with fire and EMS units, responded to a call on WSU’s Greek Row Friday night after a 21-year-old male fell from a third-story window just before midnight.
Officers found the man face down on a deck at the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity house with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man claimed he had stepped out of the third-story window to urinate from the roof, where he slipped on ice and fell.
He was transported to Pullman Regional Hospital for examination of sustained injuries.
The fall comes less than a month after a similar incident at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity house, where a 21-year-old man also fell 30 feet from the roof while attempting to urinate.
“The prior fall was at 820 NE Linden Street, and the Friday night fall was at 815 NE Ruby Street,” Pullman PD Commander Ruben Harris said.
WSU is required under state law to publicly report violations involving Greek organizations, including reckless endangerment or alcohol-related incidents. Neither the university nor either fraternity has made any comment on the incidents.
