Whitman County Prosecutor Denis Tracy is asking for witnesses of a high speed chase that occurred north of Colfax on Tuesday to come forward.

Washington State Patrol troopers chased 33-year-old Emory Reeves of Spokane Valley on a motorcycle travelling at a high rate of speed from the north side of Colfax to Cashup Flat, according to a news release. Cashup Flat is approximately 18 miles away from Colfax.

Officials charged Reeves with attempt to elude police and driving with a suspended license, according to the release. Reeves reached speeds of over 100 mph after passing by a state trooper.

Reeves attempted to hide from police on Cashup Flat, where he was taken into custody, according to the release.

Tracy asks anyone that witnessed the chase or was passed by Reeves to contact the Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office located in the Whitman County Courthouse or by phone at 509-397-6250.
