From staff reports

Delta Sigma Phi suspended its WSU-based Gamma Delta chapter Sunday after a stint of disciplinary issues with the university.

The announcement came Tuesday from Patrick F. Jessee, the executive director of the fraternity’s national headquarters in Indianapolis.

Jessee said the suspension “came as a result of the chapter’s multiple violations of university and national fraternity policies, member misconduct, disregard of the chapter facility, low academic performance, and failure to meet financial obligations to the ACB (Alumni Corporation Board) and national fraternity.”

Delta Sigma Phi, the ACB and WSU have agreed to an initial suspension period and disbandment of the Gamma Delta chapter through the end of the 2015-16 academic year. The agreement provides for the fraternity’s return to WSU after the suspension period.
