Pullman Chamber of Commerce is working to host a one-day festival in late September.

According to the Application for Pullman Lodging Tax Funds, the event will be called Field Fest 2019 and will feature local, regional and national musicians.

A portion of the event’s proceeds will go toward the Cougar Health Fund, a local non-profit, according to the application.

Tourism Director Britnee Christen said she could not comment on the event because it is in such early stages of planning.

However, given the draw of the National Lentil Festival similar local events, organizers hope this event will have a similar turnout, according to the application.

If the funding is passed the event will take place on Sept. 28 from 4–11 p.m. The event will happen regardless of this application’s success or failure, but the scale will differ depending on the Tax Funds. If the funding plan does not pass, they will re-evaluate the budget for musicians as a priority and then marketing, according to the application.

At this time, the event will  feature music, regionally brewed beer and wine as well as food vendors, according to the application.
