Women’s golf sits in tie for 15th after first round of Silverado Showdown

WSU women’s golf is tied for 15th with Colorado State after the first round of the Silverado Showdown on Sunday in Silicon Valley, California.

The Cougars finished the first round Sunday with a team score of 305 (+17).

Senior Madison Odiorne led her team with a score of 73 (+1), putting her in a tie 15th place overall.

Junior Marie Lund-Hansen and freshman Amy Chu both shot 77 (+5) for the day to tie for 58th.

Freshman Darcy Habgood and redshirt sophomore Emily Baumgart each concluded the first round with a score of 78 (+6), tying the pair for 66th place.

San Jose State University leads the Silverado Showdown with a score of 289 (+1) while UCLA, USC and Northwestern are all in a tie for second at 291 (+3).

The Cougars will continue the showdown Monday with the second round.
