WSU instructor injured in car crash

A WSU kinesiology instructor was injured in a car crash on US Highway 195 in Southern Spokane county 7 a.m. Tuesday.

According to a Washington State Patrol report, Kimberly Holmstrom, 42, was driving a pickup southbound when the crash occurred about 20 miles south of Spokane.

Holmstrom was passing another vehicle going southbound when she apparently lost control of the vehicle which rotated off the road, rolled and came to a stop on the vehicle’s hood, according to the report.

The report stated that the car was totaled and impounded.

Her speed was too fast for conditions and she was issued an infraction by Trooper M. Weberling, according to the report.

She was transported to Sacred Heart Medical where she is in critical condition, according to hospital personnel.
