Pullman High School held a special board meeting in which they decided to terminate the employment of Debra Davidson, a bus driver for the school.

The meeting was held at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Pullman High School.

It was held to review the performance of a public employee, which they did in a closed session and then took action.

Bob Maxwell, Pullman Public Schools superintendent, recommended to the committee that Davidson be terminated for leaving a child unattended.

When they reconvened, Nathan Roberts, Pullman school board member, moved that the board accept the recommendation of Maxwell to terminate the employment of Davidson and that Maxwell provide an appropriate written notice to Davidson.

The committee voted to accept his recommendation, and it passed unanimously.

Maxwell said the matter was a personnel issue.

“We take safety very seriously,” he said.
