WSU students received an alert at 9 p.m. Monday night saying WSU Pullman has received “personal reports” of positive COVID-19 tests.

According to the alert, there have been no official reports of positive tests at WSU.

WSU will contact people who may have been exposed to individuals who test positive as soon as official reports are received from Whitman County Public Health.

WSU will comply with Gov. Jay Inslee’s statewide stay-at-home order by only requiring essential personnel to report to physical work locations, according to the alert. The order will not affect online distance learning.

According to the alert, students should stay at home if they are able and have not already returned to Pullman.

WSU custodial staff are increasing cleaning frequencies in highly trafficked areas on campus to meet CDC sanitation guidelines, according to the alert.
