County confirms 12 cases, third COVID-related death

Nine of the new patients are 10-39 years old; two are 0-19 years; one is 60-79 years

Whitman County confirmed a third COVID-19-related death after a male patient aged 60-79 years died today. Twelve individuals tested positive for COVID-19 today, bringing Whitman County’s total to 1,551 cases.

Of the new patients, one female and one male are aged 0-19 years, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. Nine patients are aged 20-39 years; five are females and four are males. One patient is female aged 60-79 years. All patients are stable and self-isolating. 

Residents are reminded to wear masks, maintain social distancing and avoid large gatherings.
