Whitman County confirms one death, 14 new cases

County confirmed 103 COVID-19 patients over last two weeks

A male over 80 years old died today, and 14 individuals tested positive for COVID-19, bringing Whitman County’s total to 1,854 cases. 

Of the new patients, one female and one male are aged 1-19 years, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. Four patients are aged 20-39 years; two are females and two are males. Three females and one male are aged 40-59 years. One female and two males are aged 60-79 years. One female patient is aged over 80 years. 

Seven patients are currently hospitalized, and all others are stable and self-isolating, according to the release. Eighteen total COVID-19-related deaths have occurred in the county. 

Over the last two weeks, 103 individuals tested positive for COVID-19 in Pullman. Seventeen individuals tested positive in Colfax and Colton. Thirteen individuals tested positive in Garfield. All other cities in Whitman County have three or less positive cases.

Residents are reminded to wear masks, maintain social distancing and avoid large gatherings.
