Whitman County confirms one death, 48 new COVID-19 cases

One man over 80 died; 1,986 total COVID-19 cases

One male over 80 years old died from COVID-19, which brings Whitman County’s total number of deaths to 21.

Forty-eight individuals tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday and today, which raises the county’s total number of cases to 1,986, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center.

Of the new cases, six males and one female are aged 0-19 years. Nine males and 20 females are aged 20-39 years. Five males and two females are aged 40-59 years. Four males are aged 60-79 years. One female is over 80 years old.

Five people are in the hospital. All other patients are stable and self-isolating.

Residents are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing.
