Whitman County confirms one death, over 2,000 COVID-19 cases

Twenty-two people have died in Whitman County from COVID-19

One man aged 40-59 years died from COVID-19, which raises the county’s total to 22 deaths.

Twenty-four individuals tested positive for COVID-19, which brings Whitman County’s total number of cases to 2,010, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center.

Of the new cases, nine females and nine males are aged 20-39 years. Two females and one male are aged 40-59 years. One female and one male are aged 60-79 years. One male is over 80 years old.

Five people are in the hospital. All other patients are stable and self-isolating.

Residents are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing.
