Start – Case Keenum, QB, Texans

Case Keenum has been a steady producer in Houston after taking over for Matt Schaub and a dismal Houston offense. Since taking over in Week 7, Keenum has found a way to tally points for fantasy owners. For those with a less-than-viable QB2 option on the bench, Keenum might be a saving grace. Expect him to continue to target Andre Johnson, who has been his go-to man as of late. Houston’s running game is limping down the stretch, which should lead to a lot of passing opportunities for Keenum and company.

Sit – Mark Ingram, RB, Saints

Mark Ingram is getting an alarming percentage of snaps lately in New Orleans. Against the Cowboys last week, Ingram only received the ball on 25 percent of the offenses snaps. This number is being driven down by the steady performances of Drew Brees and the New Orleans receiving corps. Another issue facing Ingram presents itself in the form of a wealth of running backs who are showing outstanding ability in the Superdome. It will be hard for Ingram to be a great fantasy option with New Orleans spreading the ball so evenly across the field.

Start – Danny Woodhead, RB, Chargers

Danny Woodhead has found his way into my fantasy lineup, and if you are affected by injuries to running backs, you should consider giving him a chance to shine this weekend. San Diego has been in close games this year, allowing them to run the ball. Woodhead, as he did in New England, has also found his way into Phillip Rivers’ passing game. The key factor influencing Woodhead’s fantasy production is touches, and he gets a lot of them. If you need a flex player to possibly provide some pop to Sunday’s lineup, look no further than Woodhead.

Sit – Tom Brady, QB, Patriots

Tom Brady was nearly perfect against Pittsburgh, but when he takes the field against Carolina on Monday, he will face a different beast. Let’s face it, Pittsburgh is pitiful. It’s a stance that brings much joy to me as a Seahawks fan and inflates Tom Brady’s fantasy numbers. The Panthers have the second-best defense in the NFL next to the Seahawks, and when it comes down to it, the Panthers create a fantastic pass rush which brings down yardage and increases sacks allowed, losing you points. Don’t lose points, and don’t test Carolina. Monday they will pass the test defensively, and you will only want to see Brady at QB if he is on your opponent’s roster.

Start – Chris Ivory, RB, Jets

As far as Cougar alumni go this week, I have my eye on Chris Ivory. He is coming off of an outstanding performance two weeks ago against a tough Saints defense, and after a bye week he returns to face the Bills. They aren’t exactly the Saints, so expect Ivory’s touches to remain high over the next week due to the fact he has outplayed Rex Ryan’s other running back options in New York over the last three weeks. Buffalo couldn’t stop Pittsburgh last week, so expect Ivory to find success as long as Rex gives him the ball.
