The Hillside and CUB marketplaces are unlikely to reopen during spring.

The marketplaces closed Nov. 20 because of budget constraints caused by COVID-19, said Jaqui LaCroix, associate manager for WSU Dining Services.

The WSU Division of Student Affairs has had to consolidate their services, she said.

“There have been a number of layoffs and that is an unfortunate reality that we are facing right now,” she said.

Food services that are still open, like Flix, are likely to remain so in the spring, LaCroix said.

More information about which food places will close or stay open will be released within the next couple of weeks, LaCroix said.
