Whitman County confirms 90 new COVID-19 cases in last week

County has running total of 2,708 COVID-19 cases

From Dec. 19-24, 90 individuals tested positive for COVID-19, which brings Whitman County’s total to 2,708 cases.

Of the new cases, five females and six males are aged 0-19 years. Sixteen females and 13 males are aged 20-39 years. Eleven females and five males are aged 40-59 years. Eight females and nine males are aged 60-79 years. Thirteen females and four males are over the age of 80, according to press releases from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center.

As of Thursday, eight people are hospitalized. All other patients are stable and self-isolating. There have been 22 COVID-19-related deaths in the county, according to Thursday’s press release.

Residents are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing.
