One of Pullman’s summer-long events, Music on Main, will return Thursday and last through September. Different local musicians will perform every week.

The event will be held every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in downtown Pullman on SE Pine Street and Main Street, said Marie Dymkoski, Pullman Chamber of Commerce executive director.

The event will be held every week with exceptions for weather or emergencies, Dymkoski said.

This week’s musical guest is Izzy Burns, a singer-songwriter from Moscow, Idaho.

Dymkoski said she hopes the event will give downtown businesses some extra attention.

“We haven’t had a lot of music events on a regular basis,” she said. “It’s really a way to activate and bring some energy to the downtown.”

Nonprofits also have the opportunity to share details about their resources and services to attendees, Dymkoski said.

Dymkoski said because the event is outdoors and COVID-19 in Whitman County has slowed down, she hopes for 50 attendees.

“I don’t think there are any restrictions,” she said. “Frankly, I think that most people are incredibly mindful and protective of themselves.”

Updates on the event and the artist lineup can be found on the Music on Main Facebook page.
