Disability Action Center NW in Moscow released four “mental health toolbox” videos to help youth handle anxiety and stress.

The videos focus on topics like the importance of self care, maintaining healthy schedules, practicing mindfulness and creating a portable sensory tool box to help reduce stress and anxiety.

INDEz, a youth-led project in Spokane, created the idea for the videos. The group formed over the pandemic and hosts game nights and mental health days for people with disabilities.

There are two versions of each of the videos. One includes closed captioning and American Sign Language interpreting for people who are deaf or hard of hearing and audio description for the visually impaired.

The videos are posted on the DAC NW YouTube channel.
