On April 16, 2024, the Spring Transfer portal window officially opened for underclassmen and two WSU wide receivers have announced their intentions.

The first is redshirt sophomore Tsion Nunnally, a 6-foot 3-inch 220-pound receiver who played in 12 games in 2023 recording three catches including a 72-yard touchdown catch. Nunnally made his announcement via his X account. He has two remaining years of eligibility.

The other is Cole Pruitt, a 5-foot 7-inch 171-pound redshirt freshman who had two catches for 14 yards in 2023, both against Northern Colorado. Pruett also announced his decision on his X account. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

The decisions come with the opening of the Spring transfer portal. The portal had been closed since January 2, marking the end of the Winter transfer portal which opened December 4, 2023, seeing over 2,000 players enter nationwide.

The Spring portal closes April 30, allowing players 15 days to enter. The window is extended, however, until May 1 for graduate transfers. It is the final time players can enter the portal and be eligible for the 2024 season with their new team.

Wazzu bolstered their receiver room during the winter transfer period adding Kris Hutson from Oregon, Tre Shackelford from Austin Peay, Kyle Maxwell from Louisiana Tech and Tony Freeman from College of San Mateo.
