Leo Pulalasi is a redshirt sophomore who earned a spot in the Cougars’ running back rotation and went for over 300 yards in 2024.
Pulalsi grew up in Tacoma, Washington, and played football at Lakes High School. He scored 18 touchdowns and rushed for 931 yards as a junior, then improved to score 26 touchdowns in his senior year. He was an All-State selection with over 1,000 all-purpose yards to his name and was ranked by ESPN and 247Sports as a three-star prospect. 247Sports ranked him as the No. 38 athlete prospect in the country in 2023.
Pulalasi played two games in 2023, and was able to utilize a redshirt. In his freshman season, he amounted 105 yards, averaging 5.8 yards per attempt. He also caught two passes for 14 yards.
In 2024, Pulalasi broke out into the running back rotation. He appeared in 13 games, rushing for 302 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 4.6 yards per attempt and 23.2 yards per game. Pulalasi also caught eight passes for 54 yards.
