Kyle Peterson is a freshman safety from Pearland, Texas.

Peterson played high school football at Shadow Creek High School. In his junior year, he snagged four interceptions and made 50 tackles. The next season, he made 48 tackles and defended six passes, being selected to the all-district team.

ESPN.com rated Peterson as a three-star prospect and the No. 95 safety in the country.

Peterson turned down offers from Dartmouth, Texas-San Antonio, Texas-El Paso, Tulsa, Texas State, Arizona State, Louisiana, Kansas, North Texas and Hawaii when he chose to commit to WSU.

Brandon Willman is a WSU and Daily Evergreen alumnus (class of ’24) who served in roles including staff writer, staff photographer, copy editor, multimedia editor and editor-in-chief during his time with the Evergreen. He started working as a sportswriter for the Daily Evergreen in Fall 2022 and worked as copy editor in spring 2023. Brandon was elected to be the Editor-in-chief starting in summer 2023 and served in the position from May 2023 to February 2024 before transitioning to the role of multimedia editor.
