Jamorri Colson is a redshirt senior cornerback who has played two seasons at WSU.
Colson is from Ocilla, Georgia, and played high school football at Irwin County High School. Across his four years there, Colson totalled over 2,000 scrimmage yards, scored 26 touchdowns and secured 20 interceptions. In 2020, he attended Iowa Western Community College and played spring ball after the cancelled COVID season. He played in five games, securing one interception, three passes defended and six tackles.
In the fall of 2021, Colson redshirted and sat out the year, and was able to play as a redshirt freshman in 2022 due to the extra year of COVID eligibility. In 2022, Colson appeared in 12 games, broke up 10 passes and made 25 tackles. ESPN ranked him as the fourth-best junior college cornerback in the country, and he transferred to WSU.
At Wazzu, Colson appeared in eight games in 2023. He made eight tackles, defended four passes and caught one interception.
Last year, as a redshirt junior, Colson again played in eight games. This time, he made 13 tackles, defended two passes, forced a fumble and snatched an interception.
