Nick Bakken is a redshirt freshman offensive lineman who transferred to WSU from South Dakota State University in 2025.

Bakken grew up in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, and played football at Whitefish Bay High School. In 2023, he did not allow a sack and was an all-conference selection in his senior year.

Bakken appeared in six games at SDSU in 2024, but was able to utilize a redshirt. He transferred to WSU in 2025 and will be a redshirt freshman, following in the footsteps of head coach Jimmy Rogers.
