Malachi Wrice is a redshirt freshman defensive end from McAlester, Oklahoma, and a member of the WSU football team.
Wrice played football at McAlester High School, where he broke out in his sophomore season. That year, he made 34 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and three sacks.
In his junior season, Wrice made 57 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks and caught an interception. He was a first-team all-district selection.
He continued to improve in his senior year. Wrice made 77 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, four sacks and forced two fumbles. He was rated by ESPN and 247Sports as a three-star prospect, and was ranked as the No. 12 prospect in Oklahoma by 247Sports.
Wrice came to WSU in 2024 and spent the year as a redshirt season. He won Scout Team Player of the Week for the Cougars week 1 win over Portland State.
