In 2022, as a redshirt freshman, Baloun appeared in all 15 games for the Jackrabbits. He recorded seven tackles, including a sack and a pass breakup.
The next season, Baloun played in all 15 games and earned a spot in the defensive line rotation. He totalled 12 tackles, including three tackles for loss.
As a redshirt junior, Baloun again played in all 15 games for the Jackrabbits. He made 18 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. Baloun also forced a fumble and blocked a punt.
He transferred to WSU in 2025, following head coach Jimmy Rogers from SDSU.
