A Tier: The Real Deal
- Seattle Seahawks (3-1) +2
The Seattle Seahawks have had quite the showing the first four weeks as they enter the top 10 for the first time this season. The Sam Darnold to Jaxon Smith-Njigba connection looks lethal, as Darnold has a 70% completion percentage rate on five touchdowns and two interceptions this season. Smith-Njigba has 402 yards on the air which is No. 2 in the league this season, and has looked to take that third year leap in the pros.
This defense is lights out to start the season as well. Players like Josh Jobe have stood out in this Mike Mcdonald defense. Jobe is No. 4 in interceptions with one and No. 6 in receptions allowed with 16 this season.
The Hawks look like an elite team to start the season, winning three in a row since their week one loss to San Francisco. It only looks up for Seattle from here.
- Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) +3
Despite falling to 0-2 to start the season, this team has looked close to returning to their championship form these following two games. Kansas City looked elite against Baltimore in their blowout win 37-20. Patrick Mahomes is off to a hot start as always, with seven touchdowns and one interception on the season.
Players like Hollywood Brown have come up big for the Chiefs this season. With Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy out to start the season, Brown has played a big role in this offense and has made up for their loss. Although they have a few things to clean up. The run game has been abysmal, as Patrick Mahomes is their lead rusher, and Isaiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt seem to have no impact for this franchise.
With their star receiver Rashee Rice returning after week 6, it looks like the Chiefs may be a Champion contender.
- Indianapolis Colts (3-1) +1
The Colts look like the real deal through four weeks of the season. Even with a close week four loss to the Los Angeles Rams, this game only solidified that they can and will compete among the best teams in this league.
Daniel Jones has been automatic, peppering Tyler Warren and Micheal Pittman Jr. with a combination of 46 targets on 40 receptions and three touchdowns combined for the pass catching duo this season. Johnathon Taylor has also reached elite status through his first four games, with 414 yards and three touchdowns on 77 carries. This defense has also looked great too, with players like Deforest Buckner and Laiatu Latu commanding the line of scrimmage. The pair have combined for 30 tackles and a sack as they lead the Colts defensively.
Indianapolis was inches away from keeping up with the 2025 Rams as Adonai Mitchell dropped the ball at the goal line. Sure this team was out-performed and has to clean up some minor mistakes, but it is for sure that the Colts are an elite team this season.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) -1
After a close loss to the defending super bowl champs, the Buccaneers fell to 3-1 on the season. This team still looked elite, no doubt, the passing game continued to light up as Baker had 22/40 completions on 289 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. Despite the Mike Evans injury the wideout still contributed greatly to this narrow loss. Emeka Egbuka had 101 yards on four receptions and a touchdown and Chris Godwin had three receptions on 26 yards as they ease him back into the offense coming off of injury.
The running game struggled against Philadelphia’s defense as Bucky Irving rushed for 63 yards on fifteen carries. The defense also had a less than impressive showing, letting up 31 points despite an abysmal day for Eagles pass catchers.
Yet it is hard to discredit Tampa Bay’s talent. After narrowly losing to the reigning champs and a lackluster performance in the run game and on the defensive side of the ball, they still look to be a top team week in and week out.
- Los Angeles Chargers (3-1) -2
There was no excuse for what looked like the most complete team in the league to drop a game to the (0-3) New York Giants. Herbert had lost his MVP spark he had for the first three weeks, going 23/41 on receptions with one touchdown and two interceptions. This defense paled in comparison to their former form, as the only bright spot on the field was linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu who had four sacks on the day.
Although there were definitely bright spots on this Los Angeles offense. Quinten Johnston continues to dominate on the field as he had eight receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown against New York, in which he had a 36 yard touchdown catch where he was able to beat the corner and deep safety, amounting to just about the only highlight for this Chargers offense on Sunday. Omarion Hampton has his second breakout game, with 128 yards on twelve carries and a touchdown. Hampton continues to dominate the Chargers backfield as he becomes premier running back with the Najee Harris injury week three.
Even with the inexcusable loss to the Giants, this team has still proven they can fire on all cylinders on both sides of the ball and are an elite team in the NFL.
S Tier: Super Bowl Ready
- Los Angeles Rams (3-1) +2
The Rams showed up and showed out in a big win against the previously 3-0 Colts. In a close 27-20 game, the Rams looked like a top five team so far this season.
The passing game has gone above and beyond through the first four weeks. Through week four Matthew Stafford has 1,114 yards on the air on 92 completions with eight touchdowns and two interceptions. Puka Nacua and Davante Adams also look like the best pass catching duo in the league, as they have racked up 59 receptions on 772 yards and four touchdowns. Puka has stood out the most, having the strongest start for any receiver in the NFL as Nacua is first in receptions and yards. The defense has also taken a leap this year. The young defensive line is being led by Jared Verse and Byron Young, who have combined for 40 tackles and seven sacks over four games.
Despite a crushing loss due to a blocked kick against the Eagles in week three, this 2025 Rams team looks super bowl ready this season.
- Green Bay Packers (2-1-1) -3
It has been a rough two weeks for Green Bay after starting off hot at 2-0 as they’ve fallen to 2-1-1 with a loss and a tie these past two weeks. The Packers had a shameful showing against Cleveland Brown as the Browns blocked a field goal and drove down field and hit their own walk off field goal. More recently, the Packers and Cowboys had the ultimate shootout, ending in a 40-40 tie in overtime.
However, we can not count out Green Bay after two rough weeks. The passing game has been nothing short of impressive as Jordan Love has combined for 84 completions and 1,000 yards with eight touchdowns and one interception. Love has been spreading the ball around as well, as Tucker Kraft, Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden and Jayden Reed have all gotten their share of the ball in the passing game so far, combining for seven touchdowns in the air over four games.
Josh Jacobs has had a great start to the season with 80 carries on 266 yards and four touchdowns. This defense has also been automatic, with the front seven shining particularly. Linebackers Quay Walker and Edgerrin Cooper among those to make an impact, combining for 75 tackles.
The Packers may have hit new lows this season in week three and four, but there is no doubt that they are a contender this season.
- Philadelphia Eagles (4-0) +2
Even though I am not as high on the Eagles as many, there is no doubt they are one of if not the best team in the league.
Jalen Hurts has proved the doubters wrong so far this season with 609 yards in the air on five touchdowns and zero interceptions. He has also proven himself in the run game, with 179 yards and four rushing touchdowns, which is more than Saquon Barkley over their first four games.
Saquon has had a great start to the season for sure, with 237 yards on the ground with three touchdowns on 77 carries, he has continued to prove he is an elite back. Philadelphia’s pass catchers continue to disappoint as DeVonta Smith and A.J Brown both only have a touchdown over four games. Despite offensive struggles, this defense has kept them in games consistently this season. Rookie Jihaad Campbell and Quinyon Mitchell among those to make an impact for this defense and keep Philly in games.
Even with pass game slumps, Philly’s complete roster on both sides of the ball continues to win them games and has solidified their spot as a top team this season.
- Detroit Lions (3-1) +1
The Lions have continued to dominate after their disheartening loss to the division rival Packers.
This offense has looked unstoppable as Jared Goff has nine touchdowns and two interceptions on 929 yards. Amon-Ra St. Brown looks to be having his best season yet, with six touchdowns on 27 receptions. The run has somehow looked better than in prior seasons. Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery have combined for seven touchdowns and 516 yards on the ground, easily taking the title of the best backfield in the league.
The defense has also shown up for the Lions. Corner D.J. Reed and safety Kerby Joseph have combined for three interceptions to start the season, giving any QB the lions have faced hell.
After week one, Dan Campbell’s Lions sent a notice to everyone in the league that they have the talent to win and contend. Even without Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn at the helm of this team, they are still the best.
- Buffalo Bills (4-0)
The Bills remain on top again after a close game against the Saints, yet they managed to pull away with a 31-19 win.
Despite the superstar impact this team may lack outside of their back field duo in Josh Allen and James Cook, this team has managed to grind out wins these past four weeks. Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid among the main pass catchers to make an impact for Buffalo. Shakir and Kincaid have combined for 30 receptions for 369 yards and five touchdowns in the air. Josh Allen has also returned to his MVP for this season with 85 completions on 964 yards with seven touchdowns and an interception. Besides the passing game, James Cook has continued to look elite these last four weeks. Cook has 401 yards and five touchdowns on 75 carries on the ground. Cook’s year three leap has come up big for Buffalo as he has solidified himself as a top ten back so far this season.
The defense has some areas to clean up, no doubt. Letting a bottom three team in the New Orleans Saints have 288 all purpose yards and two touchdowns on your unit is not normal for a super bowl caliber team.
Besides defensive issues, this team has looked near perfect through four weeks, and continues to stay at the top of the power rankings as the best team in the league.
