The WSU Cougars are set to kick off against the OSU Beavers in Corvallis! The Daily Evergreen will be providing live coverage throughout the game!
WSU is favored for just the third time this season. They are 2-0 when favored, with wins over Idaho and San Diego State, both at home. This is their first time as road favorites this year, and the Cougars are 1-3 on the road. Their only road win was at Colorado State, with losses coming at the hands of Ole Miss, Virginia and North Texas.
Oregon State started the season 0-7, before winning its first game against Lafayette two weeks ago. They are coming off a bye last week, and have named Gabarri Johnson the starter once again this year.
WSU lost its last game at Reser Stadium 41-38 in 2024. It was a back-and-forth game that ultimately ended when the Beavers broke a 38-38 tie with a 55-yard last-minute field goal in the final minute of the game.

5:20 p.m.: WSU’s offense enters OSU territory after Angel Johnson goes for a 21-yard run, his longest of the season so far.

5:42 p.m.: Beavers are now into WSU territory. Their offense is starting to find some rhythm, leaning heavily on the run game.
5:43 p.m.: And now an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the Cougars, giving OSU 15 yards. For the first time today, OSU is in the red zone. WSU takes a time out.

5:50 p.m. (3-0 OSU): Rain starting to affect the game, as OSU’s kick goes through the back of the endzone for a touchback. WSU will have 2:52 on the clock and two timeouts before halftime.

6:08 p.m. (7-3 WSU): Another sack, and that will do it in the first half. Cougars will take a four-point lead into half, though it will be Beavers’ ball to start the second half.

THIRD Quarter: 7-3 WSU
6:30 p.m. (7-3 WSU): Second half is underway, Beavers football
6:44 p.m. (7-3 WSU): On a third-and-short, the Beavers fumble the snap and lose 16 yards. On fourth down, they will punt it to WSU. Bounces, and downed at the WSU 18-yard line. Cougar football in the third quarter.
6:48 p.m. (7-3 WSU): First play of the drive and Eckhaus has been sacked again.
6:50 p.m. (7-3 WSU): Like most of their drives today, WSU’s latest drive ends with a punt. Offense has been very stagnant so far, yet they lead 7-3. Beavers getting the ball back in the third quarter.
6:55 p.m. (7-3 WSU): Cougars force a punt and get the ball back. Six minutes to go in the third quarter.
6:58 p.m. (7-3 WSU): Eckhaus completes a pass to Trey Leckner, but he’s brought down short of the sticks. Another punt for the Cougs. OSU will start with the ball at the WSU 31-yard line. Real defensive battle tonight.
6:59 p.m. (7-3 WSU): Maalik Murphy is now in at QB for the Beavers. He was benched earlier this season.
7:00 p.m. (7-3 WSU): WSU immediately gets to Murphy on 2nd-and-8. A sack, and a ten-yard loss. Now 3rd-and-18.
