Washington State added Louis Poliquin, a veteran transfer from Weber State to its forward rotation.
Poliquin, a fourth-year player from Montreal, Quebec, saw the ice in 11 Wildcat games last season where he recorded five points. With a younger WSU team, adding veteran depth will be significant, especially with Poliquin coming from one of the toughest D2 ACHA divisions.Â
Weber State was the No. 2 ranked western team in the ACHA last year, getting beat out by Oklahoma State in the standings. The Wildcats ended the regular season with 38 wins and only one loss, tallying 114 points and standing atop the MWCHL. The second place Montana State Bobcats recorded only 79 points and 11 fewer wins than the Wildcats.Â
The Montreal native is expected to add another layer to the Washington State offense going into next season.
