A local advocacy group is starting a monthly human rights talk series at Rico’s Public House, starting Wednesday.
The Intersectional Advocacy Coalition will host the talk, beginning at 6 p.m. The first talk will be focused on sex education and include speakers Emi Schwartz from Planned Parenthood and Ashley Wilson, a reproductive health specialist in Pullman.
Anonymous questions can be submitted ahead of the event for answering during the Q&A.
There will also be reproductive trivia with prizes for the winners.
The monthly talks are aimed at supporting marginalized members of the community within Pullman, such as immigrants, LGBTQ+ individuals and older or disabled people.
